Freight-free restrictions

Certain items are not eligible for free freight and may be subject to additional charges as imposed by our courier partners. These items include:

• Excess weight: over 150 lbs/68 kg
• Oversized items: volume greater than 27 ft3/.77m3
• Monitors
• UPS products
• Plasmas
• Oversized and/or overweight printers and plotters
• Delivery requests to outlying regions (non-metropolitan)

Additional charges

Additional charges occur when a freight carrier has to take extra steps to deliver items to your location.

• Delivery to a specified floor requested $30
• Delay or re-delivery required $30
• Tailgate required $50
• Extra labor required to make the delivery (e.g. no dock) $50
• Refused shipments $50

Shipping claims

Claims for shortages or damaged goods must be made within 48 hours from the date of receipt of goods by either

• Completing the RMA form online
• Email claim requests to rma@dataworld.ca

Products shipped by Dataworld are warranted by the respective manufacturers. Always complete the manufacturers warranty card or register online. For details see the Applicable Statements of Limited Warranties that are shipped with Products and/or their documentation.

***NO RETURNS accepted on open items, broken seal, special order items or orders past 15 days of invoice date. Please contact the respective manufacturer directly beyond this window***

• Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is required for all returned merchandise.
• Non-defective returns after 15 days will be charged a 15% re-stocking charge.
• If you paid by credit card, a 15% administration fee will be deducted from your credit (unless defective/replacement).
• Shipping must be prepaid and merchandise must be received in excellent condition and in original carton with all inner packaging, accessories and literature.
• Damaged returns will be subject to an additional charge.
• Dataworld will only accept packages where the RMA number is clearly visible on the outside of the box (do not write directly on the box).
• It will take approximately two business days before an RMA is issued to you.
